Midland-based women’s fashion brand, Balou, announces Smart Works Birmingham as official charity partner with a commitment to empowering women
Balou, the women’s fashion brand committed to empowering women through fashion, is proud to announce Smart Works Birmingham as its official charity partner. As part of this impactful partnership, Balou will donate 10% of profits from the launch of its latest ‘Tailored Collection’ to support Smart Works Birmingham’ mission of helping women prepare for and succeed in job interviews through confidence-building styling and coaching.
Balou’s founder, Banayioda Theodorou, who studied Fashion Design at Birmingham City University, has long been a supporter of Smart Works, volunteering her time to personally assist clients in choosing outfits for interviews. Through her work with the charity, Banayioda has seen firsthand the transformative impact of providing women with the right attire, helping them feel powerful, professional, and ready to take on new opportunities.

The Balou ‘Tailored Collection’ which launches on Sunday 1 December 2024, is a line of sophisticated and versatile pieces crafted to help women look and feel their best. With a classic blazer, tailored trousers, and quality pleated skirt, the collection is designed for the modern woman who values style and confidence. A portion of all profits from the collection will directly support Smart Works Birmingham to support in their mission.
